What?
A patchwork of true stories delve into what it really means to be a self-injurer. Tying it together? One young woman, sitting in the middle of an empty Indian restaurant with her dad, revealing her secret.

After a successful run in Oberlin, OH and a staged reading in Ann Arbor, MI, From the Inside, Out is being re-staged this summer in the FringeNYC. Creator Maggie Keenan-Bolger interviewed self-injurers and their friends and families across the country to gain inspiration and material for this unique theater piece. Approaching the topic with humor and empathy, Keenan-Bolger uses her own experience of 'coming-out' to her father as a self-injurer as the jumping off point for From the Inside, Out.
